ARTIST STATEMENT
The artwork in my Robot of Leisure series aims to challenge the perception of a robot’s role in a society that has no need of its service. I blend retro-futuristic science fiction and mid-century cocktail culture into whimsical pop art centred around a robot (Boris) and his indulgence in leisure activities, thwarting the expectation of a robot uprising as Boris chooses to enjoy life rather than destroy it.
